RUN FREE, DEAR HAMISH

It is with much sadness,
that we read the post from Gail this morning
telling us that dear Hamish
had gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

We will not only miss him,
but will miss the strolls he took us on
around his hometown of Aberdeen.
He was a fun-loving soul.

He was a fine chap,
who enjoyed a wee dram.

and was very educated
and gave us much food for thought.

We hope his dear little namesake
can grow into the gentle dog
that Hamish was.

He will be sorely missed.

XOXO

  8. Everyday now, I read of sad pup losses.
And they, selfishly reinforce why I won't go there again - Sorry!

  9. Awww. You've made Moma all leaky again. We will miss Hamish so much. We so hope that Gail will find some way to keep his spirit among us. Their wise words and descriptive experiences are something that we both enjoyed and looked forward to. What a loss for Gail, and, selfishly, what a loss for all of us. Thankfully, we know Hamish now runs free of cold and aches and dampened hearing. He is waiting and we believe we will meet him one day.

  15. We did not know Hamish, but are so saddened by the loss of another DWB comrade. Just too many lately... How appropriate that one of your puppies will be a legacy to him!

  18. Rocky Creek Gang,
I just want to thanks you so much for posting this absolutely beautiful tribute to my dear Hamish. It means a lot to me that his friends many thousands of miles away, who we never met (but feel we know so well) have been so generous if offering words of kindness and comfort.
And of course I love the fact that there is a new little Hamish come into the world who will hopefully give great joy to his humans in the future. Of course I hope that the little pup will remain a Hamish, but anyway look forward to learn some more about where he ends up.
So I shall continue to read your entertaining blog as I ponder on what to do about developing a new outlet for my love of both dogs and blogs.
    Best wishes,
    Gail.

  19. Oh, I feel sad about Hamish. I would sometimes visit his blog. He was such a beautiful dog and I love his name, Hamish. I will miss him and I know how his family must feel. Maybe he will meet Sam and they will play some together.

But, you did a beautiful memorial w/ pictures and all for him.
