NAME THAT PUPPY CONTEST

Right now all of the puppies
have their toenails painted
with red fingernail polish
so Mom and Dad
can tell who's who when
they are weighing them.
But these puppies need names and
that's where you come in.

We'd like to ask you to submit
one girl name and one boy name
in the comment section of this post.

The deadline is midnight,
Sunday, February 14th.

We know this is quick,
but we need to get them named
just for our identification purposes.
There owner will give them
their forever name.

All of the names will be placed in a hat
and drawn randomly.
Girl 1 will receive the first girl name chosen
Boy 1 will receive the first boy name chosen
and so on until all of the puppies are named.

If you want to have a namesake,
by all means submit your own name.

The submitter of the last name drawn
will receive a prize of their choice-
either an
Amazon Gift Card
or
2 Boomerang Tags.

Please let all of your furiends in on the fun.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh, Java and the pups

  1. Oh, I'll play! Akira for the girl, that's my beeyooteefull Momma's name. She's a blue/black scottie, and very protective of her home and her pack.

For the boy, I'll pick Angus, just cuz it means strong.

Kisses all around to the sweet puppies!

  8. Well may I modestly propose my own name 'Hamish' for the boy. It seems to me that this fine Scottish name is not well enough known on your side of the pond, and you will not have the same problem as here in the park in Aberdeen, where, if Gail shouts 'Hamish' half the dogs in the park run towards her (well unless they're terriers of course...)
For the girl, I think 'Flora' would be nice. It can be shortened to Florrie if you like.
Hope all the pups are doing well!
    Cheers, H.

  9. Our entries:

Stella says for a boy Finlay meaning fair hero and for a girl,
Dacia meaning from the south. All Gaelic names!

Jo says for a boy Keiron, meaning dark and for a girl, Bria meaning strong.

Thanks for letting us help you!

    Cheers and hugs,

    Stella and Jo

  27. I want to increase the odds of "Hamish" being the name of one of the puppies so that's my choice for boys names. And for a girl, Annabella is the first name of one of Mom's Scottish great-great-great grandmother.

So that's it - Hamish and Annabella!

    Your pal,

    Uncle Petey

  41. Male - Willie
    Female - Maura

Willie because of the pups birthday being close to Abraham Lincoln's birthday and one of this sons was names William "Willie" Wallace, the middle name being Scotch.

Maura is Mary in Gaelic and that is also a Lincoln nod.

  49. Well, of course you realize that we must say you name one of the boys Maxx. Make sure it has two X's though, otherwise he won't feel as distinguished from his other four legged friends.

And for the girl pup, what say you name one of them Ashley? In memory of a dear girl I knew who recently passed away, I suggest that name for a girl. She was an angel and as sweet as Scotties are, what better name?

Hope you have fun picking through the names!
