MOM'S LITTLE HELPER

Most of you know we live in a farmhouse
that was built in the late 1800's.
It has suffered several remodels,
one during the 1950's
when cork floors were put in the living-room,
and again in the 1970's
when the ugliest carpet imaginable was installed.

One day, Mom decided to remove the carpet
and uncover the cork floor
which is in fairly good condition,
at least when compared to that yucky carpet.

Today she mopped it
and wanted it to dry faster
so she decided to put out a fan.
And Lilly decided to help it dry.

    I bet you could all "help" mop too!! If mom put down a big tray of soapy water & you guys ran though it, then ran around the room, your furs would be like a mop! Never seen a cork floor before - like you you said the house had "suffered" remodels!!

    Wooos Lilly! I like to sit in front of fans too, but most likely for a different reason than woo!I also like to help Mop the floors, but Mum does not allow that.

    we love living in an old farm house and found a nice hardwood floor under some layers and layers of carpet-- you are doing a great job helping!!!

    Dogs are such good helpers, aren't they? Morgan likes to help me wash windows. She comes right along behind me and licks them dry.

    Oh dear - if you help out with the floors - she may get you to dust, fold sheets, clean out the fridge - oh wait - that last one is the chore we like to help with...

    We like the idea of cork floors - we have tiles - and Paddy slips and slides...

    Lynn, cork floors are suppose to be the rage in "green decorating" and impervious to wear. I think you struck gold there!
