Since we live in a drafty, old house,we were concerned that Java
was getting too cold at night.
You might recall
that a few weeks ago,
we were searching
for a viable option
for getting a sweater
for our sweet
Java.
You all jumped it
and gave us some
great advice.
But the folks over at
Three Dogs Animal Sanctuary
suggested that we check out
Dover Saddlery,
a maker of horse blankets.
And we did
and they had the perfect blanket/coat
for our big man.
He measures 36 inches
from the base of his neck
to the base of his tail
so nothing we found in
regular stores fit him.
Now that Mom has seen this,
she knows that she could have easily made one,
but he is content to wear it
and we are happy to help him feel warmer.

Wooos Java! I could lend woo some of my fur, but I think that the coat will work fine too, Mum got the little Scampi one too, he is always cold. It looks great on woo!

ReplyDeleteWhen Sherman was getting older my mom got him a heated bed for nights. My parents house was built in 1900s and even though they've replaced windowns and things, it's still can get really cold in chicago in the winter in a old house!

I used to get things from Dover Saddlery all the time (when I had horses), just recently fell off thier catalog list even though it's been years! Great place! Glad Java will be all cozy for Christmas!!
