NIAGARA FALLS
While waiting to cross the border, Mom tried to get a picture of the Canadian flag as it played in the breeze.
After a short wait at the border, Mom and Dad made it through and went to their hotel. They had a room on the 29th floor overlooking the falls.
They rode the Falls Incline Railway back and forth from their hotel to the Niagara Falls.
This is the Niagara Falls Visitor Center
with the spray of the falls in the background.
And Mom doing a little shopping.
And they watched and photographed the falls. They both found them fascinating.
Of course, no visit to Niagara Falls would be complete without a ride on The Maid of the Mist.
Where Mom got completely drenched. She wanted to get the full effect of the falls so she didn't wear her hood during the ride.
Heehee! Great pictures! My granny and grandpa grew up just a few miles from Niagra Falls, and often went there when they were 'courting' (granny and grandpa are OLD), and bring out pictures of when the boat was the original Maid of the Mist! (Did I mention that Granny and Grandpa are OLD?!?) Looks like they are having fun!
Great post! Love the pictures! Being a Fla girl I have never been! My Mother and Dad went their on there honeymoon. It looks really pretty. Hugs Bambi and Fern
What a great trip your humans had! Mine are planning on going to the Falls at the end of the month...still deciding whether I'll be along for the ride or left with a dog-sitter (pleeeeeeeeeeze, I wanna come!!). Your pal, Sedona
A picture perfect rip to the falls! What beautiful weather you had (mom says it always rains when she goes!). Bet that was a great view from your room - only thing better is if the view would have contained some Scotties, right?
WOOWOOWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Niagara falls!!!!!!!! what a dream for our mommy!!!!!! your pics are wonderful...we feel like we were with you!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing!!!!!!!! Sure they had a great trip and in those photos they look sooooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend dear friends!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
Great trip! We've never been, but how beautiful - that picture of looking almost thru and behind the falls is magnificent! Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing! Hugs xo Sammie
I Work at the falls Incline Railway and a true Canadian. If you come in the winter months when the river at the bottom of the falls freezes over, then its more beautiful. And winters best time because of the Winter Festival Of Lights where they light up 2000 + lights
That all brings back memories. On our first date we went to Niagara Falls. Of course it was in January so it looked a little different.
